Why is this important?
A Comprehensive Exam with the doctor provides you with a detailed evaluation of any and all dental concerns. During this overall assessment you will have the opportunity to speak with the doctor about any dental concerns you may have, and have your questions answered. We will provide you with an action plan for future treatment, if needed, and any potential options for you to consider.
Full Mouth X-rays are necessary to see what is happening below your gumline, and other areas that are not visible with the naked eye. These x-rays are typically taken at your first visit to get an overall assessment of your dentition and are different than images taken annually, or bi-annually.
Oral Cancer Screenings are very important for your overall health. The dentist performs this screening at your New Patient appointment, and all routine dental hygiene appointments, to check for signs of Oral Cancer. This routine screening is quick and simple, and can be life-saving.
Periodontal Probing is simply the measuring of the depth between each tooth and the gum tissue. Dental Records: When we refer to“dental records”what that really means isall the compiled dentition chartingwe have about you, as a patient. At your Comprehensive Exam we will chart any existing dental work or dental conditions. This includes charting previous treatment like root canals, missing teeth, fillings, dental implants, bridgework, dentures and partial dentures. This gives our team a solid foundation to address your dental needs and concerns.
